Kerry Road Championships 2015

Firies was the venue for this years Kerry Road Championships organised by local club Farranfore Maine Valley AC.
Race consisted of one 5K loop in Senior, Novice, Junior and Masters categories on a perfect day for running. It was good turnout from many athletes with most of the clubs in Kerry well represented.
St.Brendan's AC had one of the better days in recent history with 8 club athletes taking part in this championships, finishing the day with 6 individual medals and Women's Master Team medal. Not bad for 7 first timers at this competition of which 4 run Full Marathon and 2 Half Marathon just one week earlier.

Below some results from the day.

Third edition of Kerry's Eye Tralee International Marathon took place on Sunday 15 March 2015 with new route, new start line for Full Marathon and new finish line for both Half and Full Marathon.
New route for Full Marathon includes almost full distance of our own Banna 10K route, known for its almost flat surface making it one of the fastest 10K's in Munster.
With the number of participants slightly lower compared to previous years it was still a  well attended event which included large groups from Kerry athletic clubs and other running groups.
For runners registered with Athletics Ireland it was also Kerry Athletics Championships in Full and Half Marathon and St.Brendan's AC was at the top of the podium with Derek Griffin finishing 3rd overall and 1st Kerryman in another sub 3hrs performance.
